Love of the Brethren
Hebrews 13:1–3 NASB95
Let love of the brethren continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it. Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are ill-treated, since you yourselves also are in the body.
Marriage & Money
Hebrews 13:4–6 NASB95
Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge. Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,” so that we confidently say, “THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID. WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?”
Fornicators - πόρνος (pornos), ου (ou), ὁ (ho): n.masc.; ≡ Str 4205; TDNT 6.579—LN 88.274 sexually immoral person, one who commits sexual immorality (1Co 5:9–11; 6:9; Eph 5:5; 1Ti 1:10; Heb 12:16; 13:4; Rev 21:8; 22:15)
Adulterers - μοιχός, οῦ m: (derivative of μοιχεύω ‘to commit adultery,’ 88.276) a person who commits adultery, specifically referring to males, but also including females in generic contexts.
1 Timothy 6:10 NASB95
For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
Luke 12:31 NASB95
“But seek His kingdom, and these things will be added to you.
Follow the Followers of Christ
Hebrews 13:7–8 NASB95
Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
